About Me
Kristine Allen, Founder
I spent 17 years in IT building systems at scale for Fortune 500 and high-growth tech companies, including Cisco Systems, Clorox, and Pinterest. Over those years, I watched the same mistake repeat endlessly: companies throwing expensive software at broken processes, making things worse, faster.
Technology doesn't fix an operation. It only scales what is already there. True operational judgment; knowing what to automate, what to keep human, and when a business simply isn't ready, is what those 17 years actually bought me.
It’s a foundation built on my B.S. in Management Information Systems from Santa Clara University. That degree fueled my curiosity, giving me a front-row seat to how technology evolved and transformed how we work over the last two decades in the absolute center of tech: Silicon Valley.
The Mission
Scale your hospitality business beyond founder memory.
Build the operational foundation that makes any technology actually work.
Today, I use that enterprise-level blueprint to help founder-led hospitality brands, especially those led by women, scale beyond founder memory.
My approach is built on a simple philosophy: foundation before tools.
I help you audit how your business actually runs, simplify what is fragile, and only then introduce automation and AI. The goal isn't a business that runs on more software. It's a business that stops running entirely on you, allowing you to prioritize what is truly important—supporting your people, elevating the customer experience, and sustaining revenue growth.
The Heart Behind MILA
Hospitality has always been at my core. My company, MILA, is named after my grandmother, a strong-willed, independent, and vocal woman who helped raise me and my brothers. Growing up surrounded by Filipino hospitality, she taught me that how you make people feel is everything, that you always make room for people, and that you can be kind, but you must always advocate for yourself and what is right.
As a mom and an Asian American woman in tech who didn’t come from generational wealth, I know exactly what it feels like to navigate systems that weren't built for you.
AI and modern tech finally put enterprise-level power into the hands of independent founders, especially women and women of color who have historically been kept out of those rooms. I am here to help you protect the heart of your business while building an operational foundation that sustains your growth.
